XERAEN Riffy. Excellent songwriting. Obvious passion. All of this in an 11-minute package that is too good and too much fun to pass up. This is easily in my top 5 releases from 2016! I can't wait to hear what's next from Death By Fungi! Favorite track: ENDLESS RAIN.

Jenny I love the energy behind the music! I really wanna jump around in my chair haha. Love the vocals, drumming, and guitar riffs. Great job guys :) Favorite track: ENDLESS RAIN.

Anoop Death by Fungi play a variety of hardcore/punk that's really eclectic in the sounds it borrows from. The guys in the band know their music in and out and it shows in the music they write. In Dearth Of is a fantastic listen front-to-back. It is tight, it is well-played, it is on-point with its influences (Converge, Propagandhi, Deftones, Despise You, Fugazi) and it boasts one of the best mixes I've heard in a while. 11 minutes runtime - all killer, no filler. Favorite track: ENDLESS RAIN.

I’ve got a bone to pick with you You fucking piece of shit I heard about the sick shit you did How the fuck could you Walk away without consequence Death was too easy an end I think about it everyday Had the cigarettes not taken you, would life bite you back Or would you still have Walked way without consequence Death was too easy an end This country is too full of people like you

PATHFINDER 01:52
This city was not so welcoming 20 years ago The sleepless nights that you spent on your own The thankless days you worked They said no words about the freaks on the street Or how their eyes followed you Appeased and forgotten All the time you spent asking me “Life, when will you ease up” All the time you spent asking me “When will it get easier?”

ICED 02:57
What won’t you do To feel like a man? Pass some sexist shit off As edgy Extreme music as validation I see through your tired personality This is what gets to me Gets to me You let me down again This is what gets to me Gets to me You let me down again You’ve let me down Your meathead attitude Has ruined the scene You’re just insecure Cause you didn’t get laid This was supposed to be some kind of counterculture You tell yourself you’re special But you’re the fucking same This is what gets to me Gets to me You let me down again This is what gets to me Gets to me You let me down again This place, this place, this place doesn’t fucking need you

ENDLESS RAIN 03:12
I spent too much time asking me myself What’s the point in this all? Who are we even playing to? Does anyone give a fuck? "We were martyrs” But now we’ve been left behind "There’s no going back now, we’ve come to far to leave this all behind us” On some nights, it all makes sense The drums count down and the band kicks in We used to feel so voiceless But now we feel alive "We were martyrs” But now we’ve been left behind "There’s no going back now, we’ve come to far to leave this all behind us”
